This Roussel gem of a piece gives a fresh, French style approach to a traditional fanfare. Written for the Kensington Brass ‘Celebration of Brass’ season, it was the opening fanfare for the 2nd half. This arrangement was inspired by the performance of the Maurice Andre brass ensemble, and was also performed in the Royal Overseas League international competition Ensemble semi-finals.
