Silent Night is consistently voted as one of the all time favourite Christmas Carols. This absolutely gorgeous and calm idiomatic setting was written for a pre-service performance at the Chapel in Charterhouse School for Christmas 2022 but would work equally well as a performance item in a festive recital. It was written to sound as warm and glorious as possible, fully utilising the depth of range and colour of the brass ensemble. It is also fully sight-readable, in sympathetic keys and with cues throughout the arrangement.
