I sincerely hope you enjoy performing this collection of tuneful études, designed to challenge your inner ear and deepen your sense of musical phrasing. So much of the world’s brass education material is focused on technical challenges that it can be easy to forget the deeply human aspect of music-making: singing, storytelling, and phrasing from within. I highly recommend a warm-up before enjoying these studies, although some of them may originally have begun life as warm-down exercises!
